Job summary

ABL – an Aqualis Group company in Dubai is seeking a Senior Surveyor to deliver marine and engineering consultancy services for clients in energy and marine sectors. You will conduct hull and machinery surveys, vessel inspections, and casualty investigations, preparing reports and repair estimates.

Ideal candidates have Chief Engineer STCW III/2 or equivalent, 10+ years in maritime, and strong reporting and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Chief Engineer (STCW III/2) or equivalent maritime qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the maritime industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of vessel operations, marine engineering systems, maintenance, repairs, and industry standards.
• Experience in vessel damage assessments, casualty investigations, repair management, and technical reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Undertake marine surveys, inspections, technical assessments, and casualty investigations.
• Prepare technical reports, repair cost estimates, recommendations, and client deliverables.
• Lead or support projects to deliver high-quality solutions meeting client requirements, budgets, and timescales.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to plan inspections and monitor progress.
• Maintain project documentation, records, timesheets, and reporting throughout the lifecycle.
• Promote QHSE excellence and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
