Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Marine Surveyor or maritime inspection role.
  • Knowledge of IMO regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, and international standards.
  • Experience in preparing professional technical reports.
  • Proficiency in preparing professional technical reports and using survey tools and software.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, port authorities, and classification societies.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect cargo loading and unloading methods for compliance.
  • Conduct draft surveys and vessel condition assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports supported with photographic evidence.
  • Issuing condition reports and damage assessments.
  • Issue condition reports, damage assessments, and valuation reports for a variety of marine assets.
  • Maintain thorough records of all inspections and ensure timely submission to clients, insurers, or relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Support compliance audits and certification processes through accurate documentation and field reporting.

Marine Surveyor, Dubai - UAE, Ref: AR 253107

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Marine Surveyor to join in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive marine surveys, including inspections related to cargo operations, vessel condition, and compliance with international maritime regulations. This role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect cargo loading, unloading, stowage, and securing methods to ensure adherence to international maritime standards and regulations.
  • Conduct draft surveys, on/off-hire surveys, and vessel condition assessments.
  • Perform ullage calculations and volume assessments of liquid cargo.
  • Prepare clear, detailed, and timely reports supported with photographic evidence and technical findings.
  • Issue condition reports, damage assessments, and valuation reports for a variety of marine assets.
  • Maintain thorough records of all inspections and ensure timely submission to clients, insurers, or relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Support compliance audits and certification processes through accurate documentation and field reporting.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline is preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Marine Surveyor or in a related maritime inspection role.

Sound knowledge of IMO regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, and relevant international standards.

Proficiency in preparing professional technical reports and using survey tools and software.

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, port authorities, and classification societies.

Preferred Certifications

Certification or accreditation from a recognized marine surveying body (e.g., IIMS, NAMS, or equivalent) is advantageous.

Work Conditions

Willingness to travel within the region and work in port and offshore environments.

Ability to work flexible hours as required by inspection schedules.
