Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising lifting, crane and rigging operations in a structured site environment.
• Diploma/technical qualification relevant to mechanical, industrial or lifting operations.
• Safety, lifting equipment inspection or crane/rigging-related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day lifting and rigging activities at the assigned worksite.
• Review lifting requirements and ensure activities follow approved lifting plans and site procedures.
• Verify cranes, lifting accessories, slings, shackles and related equipment are suitable for the operation.
• Coordinate crane operators, riggers, signalmen and other personnel involved in lifting activities.
• Conduct pre-lift checks, toolbox talks and risk assessments before lifting begins.
• Monitor lifting operations and stop work if unsafe conditions are identified.
• Ensure lifting zones are barricaded and loads are kept clear.
• Maintain lifting-operation records and report defects or incidents.
