Job summary

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University seeks a Technical Support Engineer (UAE nationals) to deliver high-quality technical support to learners, staff and faculty. You will administer servers and applications, monitor system health, and provide training as needed.

The role involves face-to-face or remote support, event coordination, and ensuring adherence to information security policies and health and safety regulations. Strong English skills are essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• ITIL V3 certification.
• Any other certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Apple) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to learners, staff and faculty, in-person or remote.
• Administer servers and applications, monitor health and maintain inventories.
• Coordinate technical support for events and training sessions.
• Support end-user devices, printers, scanners and AV systems.
• Log tickets, track issues, and communicate test results and bugs.
• Adhere to information security policies and safety regulations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field

ITIL V3 certification
