Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking a Planning Engineer to lead planning, scheduling and progress control for major infrastructure and utility projects. You will develop master schedules, monitor interdependencies and support time-related claims and EOT.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of experience, strong Primavera scheduling skills, and proven ability to analyze progress and communicate results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience in infrastructure/utility projects.
• Strong Primavera scheduling capability.
• Experience supporting claims/EOT and delay analysis.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and support approval of contractor baseline and updated programmes in line with contract conditions and Parsons practices.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (multi-package), monitor interdependencies, and validate resource/schedule feasibility.
• Analyze progress updates, identify delays / slippage and critical events, recommend mitigation / corrective actions and changes / variations.
• Prepare weekly / monthly progress reports, programme analysis, dashboards and presentations against key milestones.
• Support claims/EOT assessments using delay analysis methods (e.g., TIA, window analysis) and maintain contemporaneous records and trackers/logs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders through progress/coordination meetings; support responses to contractor notices and issue schedule performance notices where required.
