Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi invites an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to lead I&C design across FEED and detailed engineering for oil and gas projects, ensuring safety, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

The role requires offshore/onshore site activities, coordination with process, electrical and multi-discipline teams, and delivery of instrument datasheets, I/O schedules, control narratives and SIS integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent.
Certifications in Instrumentation, Automation or Functional Safety are advantageous.
Minimum 12 years total experience with 8+ years in I&C design for oil & gas (onshore/offshore).

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for I&C design during FEED and detailed engineering phases.
Define I&C design basis, standards and deliverables for safe, reliable, cost-effective solutions.
Oversee integration with process, electrical and multi-discipline interfaces; ensure codes and regulatory compliance.
Mentor engineers, drive quality and schedule adherence across project phases.
Lead site surveys, data collection and validation to support design.
Prepare instrument datasheets, I/O schedules, control narratives, SRS and related docs.
