Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will lead I&C activities across the full project lifecycle, including Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

You will act as the discipline technical authority on instrumentation, automation, and functional safety, coordinating with project teams, vendors, and clients to deliver compliant designs and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent.
Professional certifications in Instrumentation, Automation, Functional Safety are advantageous.
Proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead I&C engineering for onshore/offshore oil & gas projects across lifecycle.
Act as discipline authority for instrumentation, automation, control systems, and safety.
Coordinate with PM, Engineering, Clients, Operations, and Vendors.
Review/approve engineering deliverables and monitor schedules.
Lead brownfield modifications and control system migrations.
Conduct site surveys, data collection, and feasibility reviews.
Develop scopes for surveys, shutdowns, tie-ins, and plant modifications.
Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting.
