Job summary

KBR Careers seeks a Lead Instrument and Controls Engineer for an offshore Abu Dhabi project. You will lead I&C activities, supervise a team of engineers and ensure delivery across FEED through start-up, adhering to ADNOC Offshore standards.

You will oversee instrumentation, DCS, ESD, F&G, PCS7, ICSS architecture, and functional safety, with strong leadership and vendor coordination responsibilities. International offshore experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Control Systems or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of Instrumentation & Control Engineering experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• 5–8 years in a Lead I&C Engineer role on offshore EPC/EPCM projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for I&C activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead and coordinate a team of I&C engineers, designers, and specialists.
• Review and approve all I&C engineering deliverables in line with ADNOC Offshore requirements.
• Develop and review I&C systems like DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA and ICSS architectures.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 61508/61511 and perform safety studies (HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/LOPA).
