Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer – Aftermarket, Modernization in Abu Dhabi. You will drive HVAC modernization projects from identifying retrofit opportunities to order closure, delivering value-based solutions that reduce energy use and operating costs.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering background, 3+ years in HVAC, and strong client relationships with owners, consultants, and contractors. Travel to sites in the UAE is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC sales, aftermarket, retrofit, modernization, or project business.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs/FCUs, pumps, controls.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, qualify, and convert HVAC modernization and retrofit opportunities across assigned markets and customer segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with building owners, consultants, contractors, and facility management companies.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing HVAC systems and modernization requirements.
• Develop value-based technical and commercial solutions focused on energy efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle cost savings.
• Lead the full sales process from opportunity identification through proposal, negotiation, and order closure.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals with internal teams; develop retrofit business cases.
