Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced HSE Manager for an offshore brownfield water injection project on UZ Island. The role will lead HSE execution, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture across all project phases.

The successful candidate will implement the HSE Management Plan, manage PTW and Control of Work, lead investigations, perform risk assessments such as HAZID/HAZOP, and report on KPIs to project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• NEBOSH International Diploma, NVQ Level 6, CSP, GradIOSH/CMIOSH, or equivalent preferred.
• Lead Auditor certification (ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Lead project risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, JSA, and other safety studies.
• Monitor offshore construction, installation, commissioning, and brownfield modification activities.
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Control of Work processes.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and management site visits.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports, KPIs, and management reviews.
• Ensure emergency preparedness plans are implemented and emergency drills are conducted.
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, campaigns, and workforce engagement initiatives.
• Promote environmental protection measures, waste management, and pollution prevention practices.
• Interface with client representatives, regulatory authorities, and project management teams on HSE matters.

Education
