Job summary

ABU ALNAGA CONTRACTING in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Project Estimator to lead detailed cost estimates for high-rise building projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare pricing for tender submissions.

The role requires 8+ years in construction estimating, with strong knowledge of materials and methods, and proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD. A UAE/GCC project background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in construction estimating with high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and finishing works.
• Experience preparing detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, labor productivity, and market rates.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimating/quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience on UAE/GCC projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for high-rise projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and tender documents for accuracy.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed pricing.
• Perform rate analyses for materials, labor, equipment and subcontractor works.
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare competitive and viable tender proposals.
• Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions and cost impacts.
• Coordinate with commercial, procurement, engineering and project teams during tendering.
• Review scope changes and additional works for cost implications.
• Maintain cost databases, historical rates, and market pricing.
• Assist with value engineering and cost optimization.
