Job summary

Golden Square Engineering Consultants - GS in Dubai seeks an experienced Estimator to join its construction and engineering consultancy group. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, and tender pricing for complex projects while ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

The ideal candidate has UAE construction experience, strong knowledge of local costs, and the ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce commercially viable

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant estimating experience in construction or engineering consultancy.
• UAE construction experience is mandatory.
• Proven ability to review drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents.
• Strong knowledge of UAE market rates and materials costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and engineering projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from MEP, civil, structural drawings.
• Prepare BOQs, pricing schedules and tender documentation.
• Analyse specifications, scope, exclusions and risks for tenders.
• Coordinate with procurement, QS and project teams for pricing clarity.
• Attend site visits and tender clarification meetings when required.
• Maintain cost databases and update supplier/subcontractor rates.
