Job summary

Apex Group in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Hedge Fund Accounting leader to manage and develop the fund accounting team, ensuring accurate NAV reviews and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on delivering robust controls, client service, and audit readiness across hedge funds.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years in hedge fund accounting, a degree in accounting/finance, and professional qualifications (ACCA/ACA preferred).

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in Hedge Fund Accounting, including team leadership and NAV review.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA or ACA preferred.
• Strong technical fund accounting, controls, client & auditor management, people leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Fund Accounting to ensure hedge fund books meet industry standards.
• Develop and manage a team of fund accountants, including performance reviews.
• Review month-end control packs and sign-offs with the team.
• Develop relationships with auditors for year-end financial statements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
