Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a software engineer to architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant solutions for healthcare data integrations. You will work with EDI/API mappings, ensure HIPAA-compliant security, and collaborate across teams on new technologies.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years in healthcare software, strong API skills, and proficiency in PHP or Python, with ability to learn new languages quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing robust software solutions, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong fundamental skills in building and integrating APIs.
• Experience scaling API systems in a cost-effective manner.
• Proficiency in PHP or Python (or comparable languages).
• Ability to quickly adapt to new programming languages and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement highly scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions for transmitting millions of messages monthly.
• Design and evolve system architectures for complex, clearinghouse-specific EDI/API data mappings.
• Implement advanced error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms within asynchronous workflows.
• Collaborate with external clearinghouse partners to debug and troubleshoot non-standard integration systems.
• Ensure compliance with EDI protocols and federal healthcare standards, including HIPAA security and privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and document all features and processes.
