Job summary

Confidential, Dubai, seeks an experienced Freight & Logistics Coordinator to manage end-to-end shipments across sea, air, and land. You will source quotes, select optimal carriers, arrange bookings, and track cargo from origin to destination while ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in freight/logistics, a Bachelor's in Shipping & Logistics, and strong English, with IATA certification and UAE driving license considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Shipping & Logistics preferred.
• IATA certification and UAE driving license add value.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in freight and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of UAE ports' and airports' customs portals and regulations.
• Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments by sea, air, road, and courier.
• Obtain and compare freight quotations from shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
• Select the most suitable freight option based on cost, transit time, cargo requirements, and vessel schedule.
• Arrange bookings, collection, transportation, and delivery of cargo.
• Monitor shipments from origin to final destination and provide regular status updates to the manager.
• Prepare and review shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and customs documents.
• Coordinate with customs brokers for import/export clearance and follow up on inspections and permits.
• Arrange logistics for ship spares and equipment to/from vessels and coordinate deliveries to ports and yards.
• Coordinate receipt, storage, dispatch, and inventory records in warehouses, and verify freight invoices.
