Job summary

Stafmed invites applications for a Consultant Gastroenterologist at a leading hospital in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires broad expertise in diagnosing and managing GI and hepatobiliary conditions, including complex disorders, with emphasis on endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities include adult gastroenterology care, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, pre-/post-procedure patient care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Recognised Tier 1 qualification (ABMS/RCPSC/UK CCT/CCST, German Facharzt, French DES or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Gastroenterology.
• Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care to adult patients.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Manage complex gastroenterological and liver-related cases.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy as required.
• Develop personalised, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support departmental education, teaching, and service development.
