Job summary

Stafmed is recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist for a full-time position with a leading hospital in the UAE. The role requires expertise in diagnosing and managing GI and hepatobiliary conditions and performing endoscopic procedures.

You will join a progressive clinical environment committed to patient-centred care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and high-quality governance. DHA/DOH/MOHAP licensing eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 qualification recognised (ABMS, RC/CCST, UK CCT/CCST, German Facharzt, French DES, or equivalent).
• 3–5 years post-specialisation experience in Gastroenterology.
• Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care to adult patients.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Manage complex gastroenterological and liver-related cases.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy as required.
• Develop personalised, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support departmental education, teaching, and service development.
