Job summary

Tandem Interim is seeking a senior AI transformation consultant in Dubai to lead the scale-up of GenAI use cases into production, with governance and an operating model to sustain capabilities after project end.

You will work with C-suite and government stakeholders, shaping KPIs, risk controls, and vendor collaboration while ensuring delivery across multiple streams in a dynamic, project-based engagement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in consulting with at least 3 in AI or digital transformation.
• Current or recent Manager/Senior Manager/Associate Director title.
• Hands-on delivery of at least one GenAI or LLM solution that reached production.
• Experience with at least one enterprise AI platform (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI).
• Track record presenting to C-suite and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of 3–5 GenAI use cases from business case to production go-live.
• Run use-case prioritization workshops with directors and executive sponsors.
• Translate business needs into solution requirements for LLM, RAG and agentic AI builds.
• Define success KPIs and track adoption and value realization after go-live.
• Draft the responsible AI framework: model risk, data privacy, human oversight and gates.
• Design the AI CoE operating model: governance forums, intake process and vendor management.
• Produce board-ready updates and steering committee packs.
• Coach client staff so capability stays in-house after the contract.

About the Project : (Note this role is project based)

Duration : 8 months (extendable)

Our client has run several GenAI proofs of concept and now needs to scale 3–5 of them into live, governed services within two quarters.

The programme covers three workstreams:

• Use-case delivery – move priority use cases (citizen service assistant, internal knowledge search, document drafting and review) from pilot into production.
• AI governance – stand up a responsible AI framework aligned to UAE AI policy and data regulations.
• Operating model – design the AI Centre of Excellence that will own these services after the contract ends.

What you'll do :

• Lead delivery of 3–5 GenAI use cases from business case to production go-live
• Run use-case prioritization workshops with directors and executive sponsors, scoring value, feasibility and risk
• Translate business needs into solution requirements for LLM, RAG and agentic AI builds, working with vendor engineers
• Define success KPIs and track adoption and value realization after go-live
• Draft the responsible AI framework: model risk, data privacy, human oversight and approval gates
• Design the AI CoE operating model: roles, governance forums, intake process and vendor management
• Produce board-ready updates and steering committee packs
• Coach client staff so capability stays in-house after the contract

What you bring :

• 7+ years in consulting, with at least 3 in AI, data or digital transformation at a Big 4 or strategy firm (Deloitte, EY, PwC / Strategy&, KPMG, Accenture, McKinsey, BCG, Kearney or similar)
• Current or recent Manager, Senior Manager or Associate Director title
• Hands-on delivery of at least one GenAI or LLM solution that reached production, not just a strategy deck
• Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, prompt design, vector databases and agentic workflows, enough to challenge vendor engineers
• Experience with at least one enterprise AI platform: Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or similar
• Track record presenting to C-suite and government stakeholders
• GCC project experience, ideally with a public-sector client
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business or related field

Nice to have but not must :

• Python, or hands-on prototyping in LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar
• Knowledge of UAE AI and data regulation, or ISO 42001 / NIST AI RMF
• Certifications such as Azure AI Engineer, AWS ML Specialty or Google Cloud ML
• Prior experience setting up an AI CoE or digital transformation office
