Job summary

Sundus in Abu Dhabi, UAE seeks a Senior AI Engineer to drive AI/ML engineering, LLM application development, and enterprise project delivery. You will take AI solutions from design through production deployment while coordinating with vendors and integrators.

The role focuses on delivering scalable AI solutions using the Microsoft stack (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform) and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to meet enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or ML/AI engineering.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications.
• Proven experience delivering AI solutions into production within an enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise with the Microsoft AI stack: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI and LLM-based solutions.
• Build and integrate applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform.
• Lead AI and digital projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Manage and evaluate technology vendors and system integrators from RFP to delivery.
• Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise standards for quality, scalability, security, and performance.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in AI/ML engineering, LLM application development, Microsoft Azure AI technologies, and enterprise project delivery.

The ideal candidate should be capable of taking AI solutions from design and development through production deployment, while also managing technology vendors and system integrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI and LLM-based solutions.
• Build and integrate applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform.
• Lead AI and digital projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Manage and evaluate technology vendors and system integrators, from RFP and technical evaluation through implementation and delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML/AI engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications.
• Proven experience delivering AI solutions into production within an enterprise environment, beyond proof‑of‑concept projects.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with the Microsoft AI stack, including:
• Azure AI Foundry
• Azure OpenAI
• Microsoft Copilot Studio
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Proven project management and delivery experience, with the ability to lead AI/digital projects from initiation to completion.
• Experience managing technology vendors and system integrators, including RFP, evaluation, negotiation, implementation, and delivery.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, pensions, insurance, or government is highly desirable.
