Job summary

Sokin is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our growing payments platform team in Dubai. You will own the engineering lifecycle from concept to production, focusing on backend development with contributions to the frontend as needed.

You will influence technical direction, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive quality and performance. You will design, build, deploy and maintain scalable features and services, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring reliability, monitoring, and incident

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience with end-to-end feature ownership and production delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Right to work in the jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of software engineering from design to production, monitoring and maintenance.
• Lead architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Establish monitoring, alerting and support processes to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
• Mentor junior developers and promote ownership and continuous improvement.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold quality, security and performance.
