Job summary

EDGE, based in the UAE's Abu Dhabi, seeks a Senior Digital Engineer to develop, integrate, verify, and maintain firmware for advanced aerospace and defense systems. You will work across FPGA, SoC architectures, and embedded software, ensuring DO-254 compliance and robust hardware–software integration.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in FPGA firmware, familiarity with Intel/Altera or Xilinx families, and hands-on VHDL proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years FPGA firmware development experience in aerospace/defense or high-tech industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement FPGA firmware using VHDL for FPGA, SoC, and CPLD platforms.
• Lead full FPGA development lifecycle activities from requirements through deployment.
• Develop Board Support Packages and peripheral interfaces.
• Develop embedded C software to interface FPGA firmware with SoC platforms.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation including requirements, design descriptions, verification plans, and test reports.
