Job summary
EDGE is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer Firmware for Halcon to lead the design, development, integration, verification, and testing of advanced firmware solutions for mission-critical defence systems. The role requires expertise in FPGA and microcontroller-based embedded systems and strong technical leadership.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electronics/software/computer engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FPGA and/or microcontroller firmware development.
- Strong experience in firmware design, coding, verification, validation, testing and hardware integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify firmware for FPGA and microcontroller-based embedded systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on firmware architecture, coding standards, verification methods, and certification requirements.
- Lead design reviews, develop firmware specifications, interface control documents, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of firmware development processes, tools, and roadmaps.
