Job summary

Jaleel Holdings LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

The role covers general ledger, month-end close, VAT, tax computations, and internal controls, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery. A strong background in UAE VAT, ERP systems, and MS Excel is essential; UAE experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce or CA Inter / CMA Inter.
• 7–9 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with UAE exposure.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• Experience with SAP FICO – ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Monitor supplier invoices, payment schedules, and vendor reconciliations.
• Oversee customer accounts, collections, credit balances, and receivables ageing.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Support the preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Assist with corporate tax computations, documentation, and filing requirements.
• Maintain proper supporting documentation for tax audits and regulatory reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements.
• Reconcile inventory records with the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory valuation, stock adjustments, goods in transit, and inventory provisions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide supporting schedules and documents.
• Maintain effective accounting controls and ensure adherence to company procedures.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and financial documentation.
• Review accounting transactions and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and system utilisation.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned financial activities and reporting deadlines.
