Job summary

Responsibilities include reviewing annexes, bibliographies, and references according to UN guidelines, and preparing tables of contents and acronym lists.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience with editing focus.
• Proven track record editing reports, publications, and policy briefs.
• Native-level English writing and editing skills required.
• Ability to ensure consistency, terminology, and editorial style.

Responsibilities

• Provide editing, proofreading, and rewriting for knowledge products and publications.
• Apply UN editorial style and UN Women Editorial Style Guide.
• Ensure clarity, consistency, and correctness of terminology.
• Correct spelling, grammar, and syntax.
• Maintain consistent style, formatting, font usage, and authorial voice.
• Position boxes, figures, tables, and footnotes properly.
• Review annexes, bibliographies, and references as per UN guidelines.
• Prepare tables of contents and acronym lists as required.
• Proofread designed layout files for completeness.
