Job summary

The Lana is part of the Dorchester Collection in Dubai and seeks an experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to lead engineering operations, supervise the team, and ensure the highest standards of asset care and guest experience.

You will drive preventive maintenance, manage small CAPEX projects, and collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption and uphold safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in senior engineering/management roles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent leadership and safety compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel engineering operations and asset protection.
• Lead maintenance teams and oversee contractors to ensure reliability.
• Develop preventive maintenance and CAPEX plans.
• Manage projects from definition through handover within budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with departments to minimize maintenance disruption.
