Job summary

Dubai Municipality is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to manage the annual preventive maintenance plan for electromechanical systems across multiple sites in Dubai.

The role involves handling corrective maintenance requests, issuing work orders through the CMMS, and conducting site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of experience in electromechanical maintenance or related area.
• Experience with maintenance contracts, service levels, and project specs.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve monthly schedules for the annual preventive maintenance plan across electromechanical systems.
• Receive corrective maintenance requests and issue work orders via the CMMS.
• Identify sites for monthly unannounced inspections to verify contractor work quality.
• Lead development projects and prepare technical specifications for electromechanical systems.
• Verify payment certificates against contracts and prepare disbursement forms.
• Prepare technical reports from site visits on maintenance and projects.
• Adhere to Municipality information security and confidentiality policies.
• Perform any other duties related to the position.

Job Description:

• Review and approve the monthly schedules for the annual preventive maintenance plan covering all electromechanical systems across various Municipality sites, ensuring compliance with manufacturers’ guidelines and recommendations.
• Receive corrective maintenance requests and conduct site visits to assess the necessity and scope of the required works. Issue the necessary work orders to contractors through the electronic maintenance management system, ensuring compliance with approved service levels and timelines for the completion of maintenance works.
• Identify the targeted sites for the monthly unannounced inspection program to verify the quality of preventive maintenance activities carried out by contractors assigned under annual maintenance contracts for electromechanical systems, in accordance with approved inspection checklists.
• Implement development and improvement projects for electromechanical systems through Municipality-approved contractors and companies. Prepare the required technical specifications and ensure compliance with approved specifications, requirements, and project schedules.
• Verify that financial claims and payment certificates submitted by consultants and contractors assigned to electromechanical systems development projects comply with contractual terms, technical specifications, and approved designs, and prepare the necessary payment disbursement forms.
• Prepare the required technical reports for various site visits related to the implementation and monitoring of projects, as well as preventive and corrective electromechanical maintenance works at Municipality buildings and facilities and other government entities’ buildings and facilities, as assigned, in accordance with approved work plans and programs.
• Perform all assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Municipality’s approved information security and confidentiality policies and within the delegated authorities.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to the nature and scope of the position, as assigned.
