Job summary

James L Williams Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director – Electrical to lead and drive our engineering division at a strategic level. This senior role is responsible for guiding the Electrical Design Team across complex, multi-disciplinary projects in Dubai and beyond.

You will oversee engineering operations, ensure compliance with international standards and UAE authority regulations, and mentor a high-performing team while contributing to business development and client

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in MEP/building services engineering.
• Proven leadership experience in complex engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and UAE authority regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all engineering and technical operations across projects.
• Oversee complex, multi-discipline design and construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and UAE local authority requirements.
• Manage engineering budgets and support procurement and project execution strategies.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and major equipment selections.
• Represent the company in client and authority meetings.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams while driving technical excellence.
• Support business development initiatives with strong commercial awareness.
