Job summary

James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager – Data Centre to join our Engineering team and lead the electrical design and engineering deliverables across complex projects.

The role focuses on managing the design process, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, leading the design team, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of design and engineering experience in Data Centre/MEP/Construction.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role with project leadership.
• Experience delivering data centre projects and familiarity with BIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process from concept through completion.
• Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review and approve technical deliverables, checks, and calculations.
• Manage design documents, calculations, scopes of work, and BOQs.
• Provide technical guidance and lead the design team.
• Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors.
• Support equipment selection and techno-commercial reviews.
• Drive value engineering and assess constructability and practicality.
• Liaise with authorities for design approvals and project delivery.
