Job summary

James L. Williams Middle East is seeking a proactive Electrical Site Engineer to supervise electrical installation activities on complex data centre projects in Dubai.

You will coordinate site resources, review shop drawings, and ensure work is performed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of MEP experience, with UAE codes familiarity and ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prepare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction projects.
• Data Centre project experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical codes and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works in line with approved shop drawings, specifications and project schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
• Prepare material take-offs and monitor material requirements and deliveries.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Raise RFIs and follow up on approvals and clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements and support inspection and testing activities.
• Monitor site progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate local authority submissions and approvals where required.
• Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress records, redline drawings, and as-built information.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE requirements.
