Job summary

Dorsch Holding GmbH - DC Middle East is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for architectural and building design projects in the UAE. The role requires leading electrical design tasks, coordinating with BIM and MEP disciplines, and ensuring compliance with UAE/Middle East authority standards.

Candidates should have 12+ years in architectural and building design, with at least 8+ years in GCC contexts. Proficiency in Dialux, ETAP, AutoCAD, and REVIT BIM is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years’ experience in architectural and building design projects.
• 8+ years of GCC project experience.
• Graduate Electrical or similar Engineering qualifications are mandatory.
• Experience with Dialux and ETAP is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge of BIM (REVIT) and AutoCAD Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating with DRAFTSMAN / CAD Technicians / BIM Technicians.
• Preparation of electrical design calculations and drawings for design projects and authority submissions.
• Concept and detailed design of electrical and structured cabling systems across projects.
• Ensuring designs comply with UAE/Middle East authority standards and codes.

• Coordinate with Mechanical, ID, Architecture, Structure and other discipline engineers for project continuity.

Position: Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Architectural - Building Design)

Working hours/ days: Monday - Friday (Weekly Off - Saturday / Sunday) | 48 hours weekly.

Education / Experience

Minimum12+ years’ experience in Architectural and Building Design Projects in Engineering Design of which at least 8+ years were spent working on projects within the GCC,

• Proven experience in the Architectural and electric design Projects and Calculations
• Experience with Dialux, ETAP and other power systems software is an advantage.
• Proficiency in software such as Autodesk AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge in (REVIT) - BIM and AutoCAD Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Graduate Electrical or similar Engineering Qualifications is Mandatory.
• Preparation of electrical design calculations and drawings for the design projects and preparing for the authority submissions.
• Concept and detailed design of electrical and structured cabling systems across a range of projects.
• Ensuring all calculations are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Authority Standards and Codes of Practice as per the project location and requirements.
• Coordinating and providing technical guidance to DRAFTSMAN / CAD Technicians / BIM Technicians to produce drawings and models.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, design drawings, and other deliverables.
• Coordinating with other disciplines to achieve a fully integrated design.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant UAE/Middle East authority requirements, international codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Assist in the modelling and coordination of MEP works through REVIT or other relevant software.
• Coordinating with other streams - Mechanical, ID, Architecture, Structure, and Disciplines Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design projects.
