Job summary

DEHN MIDDLE EAST FZE is seeking an AutoCAD Engineer to develop detailed 2D and 3D designs for lightning protection, surge protection, and earthing projects.

You will create and modify technical drawings, cooperate with the UAE team, partners, distributors and consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance with BS EN/IEC 62305 and related standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical or related field.
• Experience as AutoCAD Engineer with 2D and 3D design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and AutoCAD shortcuts.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Role Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD software.
• Create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with team in UAE, Partners, distributors and Consultant and other engineers to ensure design accuracy and project specifications.
• Coordinate with the customer to gather necessary information for design development.
• Review and analyze design specifications, sketches, and related data to assess project feasibility.
• Ensure compliance with the project specification, Lightning protection and Earthing Standards, BS EN /IEC 62305, BS 7430, BS EN 505122, IEEE 80 industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
• Provide technical support to sales team and partners.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on design progress.
• Maintain organized records of design documents and project files.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical/bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Engineer with expertise in both 2D and 3D design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, shortcuts in AutoCAD.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in AutoCAD or related software from any reputed CADD center which is recognized by the national/international bodies
• Experience in MEP contractor companies, Design consultant, CAD training institute etc.].
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced design technologies.
