Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks a Lead Electrical Substation Project Engineer with 12-18 years of power infrastructure experience to drive execution of 11kV to 132kV substations.

You will manage construction per IFC drawings, coordinate with clients and authorities for inspections and approvals, and ensure adherence to DEWA/ADDC/TRANSCO standards.

The role requires strong leadership, safety oversight, and hands-on oversight of protection systems, SCADA integration, and commissioning activities on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 12–18 years of power infrastructure/substation experience
• In-depth knowledge of UAE authority standards (DEWA/ADDC/TRANSCO)
• Experience in HV/MV substation construction and commissioning
• Familiarity with protection systems and grid integration
• Strong leadership and reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Lead substation project execution across 11kV-132kV and higher
• Manage construction per IFC/shop drawings/BOQ/specifications
• Plan sequences, resources, and equipment deployment
• Monitor progress against baseline and look-ahead schedules
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities for inspections and energization
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority standards
• Oversee testing, energization, and commissioning activities
• Lead site teams of engineers, supervisors, and foremen
• Prepare progress and performance reports
