Job summary

PeopleStrong in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an EHS Engineer to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs at project sites, ensuring compliance with company standards, legal regulations, and client requirements. The role focuses on preventing incidents, promoting a safe culture, and minimizing environmental impact.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with NEBOSH IGC certification preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required.
NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory or preferred.
Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or First Aid are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Implement site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans and procedures.
Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
Identify unsafe acts and conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and regulatory regulations.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training programs.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events and prepare reports.
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
Monitor environmental aspects including waste management and resource conservation.
Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation.
Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities.
Support management in achieving project HSE objectives and KPIs.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on EHS matters.
