Job summary

Iihse is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead development and updates of health, safety, and environmental programs for projects. You will review and implement HSE standards, perform risk assessments, and support emergency planning and incident investigations across sites.

The role emphasizes auditing contractors, technical evaluations of equipment, and ensuring compliance with HSE training and company policies to foster a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or engineering discipline.
• 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in HSE engineering, inspection and management.
• Technical Writing.
• Occupational health and safety knowledge.
• Hazard communication.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Development and Maintenance of HSE Standards.
• Plans and prepares safety, health, and environmental impact assessment studies for new projects.
• Ensures all HSE manuals and documentation are current and accessible to field staff.
• Coordinates with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
• Implement programs, studies and activities related to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Hygiene.
• Coordinate with HSE team for development and revision of HSE policies, procedures, method statements.
