Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to ensure health, safety and environmental policies are effectively embedded across projects, sites and offices in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee compliance with local and international regulations, review RAMS, and drive risk-based improvements.

The role requires NEBOSH IGC, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 5 years of infrastructure experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant subject.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on infrastructure projects, preferably pumping stations and storage tanks.
• Strong knowledge of HSEQ management systems and RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSEQ policies are embedded across projects, sites and offices.
• Review RAMS and approve contractors’ HSE plans.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits and close out corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver HSE training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports with KPIs and initiatives.
• Promote safety culture through leadership and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with regulators to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor environmental aspects and sustainability requirements.
