Job summary

AtkinsRalis in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a Senior Document Controller to oversee master document registers, transmittals, and cross-functional collaboration across project teams.

The role requires managing documentation workflows, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and coordinating with engineers and managers to resolve discrepancies while maintaining secure, organized records.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline, preferably technical.
• Solid experience of 3–8 years in Document Control in engineering, manufacturing or construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a Master Document Register (MDR) of drawings, specifications, procedures and plans.
• Examine documents for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
• Monitor schedules for drawings, specifications, manuals and other documents; follow up with stakeholders.
• Manage filing systems across collaboration platforms (Aconex, SharePoint) for internal/external review and approval.
• Oversee document transmittals; ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and routing to correct associates.
• Review project documents for completeness, format, and contract compliance.
• Submit documentation for management approval and transmit to customers.
• Distribute documentation for review and capture customer feedback and comments.
• Liaise with engineers, managers, customers to resolve discrepancies and modify schedules.
• Update control records with changes and notify affected departments.
• Provide cross-department support within project workflows.
