Job summary

Space42 seeks a Senior Engineer – DevOps to design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade virtualised infrastructure in the UAE. You will manage VMware vSphere, Proxmox, and Linux KVM, build secure networks, and ensure compliance across air-gapped environments.

You will automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible, and support Kubernetes-based deployments. You will mentor junior engineers and drive infrastructure best practices while maintaining robust observability and incident response

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Proxmox, and Linux KVM.
Proven ability to design and operate enterprise-grade virtualization and network infrastructures.
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere, Proxmox, and Linux KVM environments at scale.
Manage full VM lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, performance, decommissioning.
Implement cluster management, high availability, disaster recovery, and security.
Monitor performance, optimize resources, plan capacity in air-gapped environments.
Design secure network architectures with firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
Automate provisioning and lifecycle with Terraform and Ansible.
Support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Argo CD deployments.
Establish infrastructure observability and incident response procedures.
