Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi seeks a Dispatch Coordinator with 5+ years in the steel industry, focusing on HSM operation and material handling. You will coordinate daily dispatches, align plans with customer orders, and collaborate with Sales, Planning, Production, and Logistics teams.

You will verify material grade, size, heat number, and quantities before dispatch, supervise loading, ensure traceability, and maintain ERP/SAP records while producing daily and monthly dispatch reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in steel industry, specifically HSM operation/material handling.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Technical qualification with steel industry exposure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control daily dispatch activities for finished steel products.
• Plan and monitor dispatches according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Quality, Weighbridge, Transporters and Security teams.
• Verify material grade, size, quantity, heat number, bundle number and customer requirements before dispatch.
• Ensure correct material is allocated and released against sales orders/delivery documents.
• Monitor loading of finished steel products onto trucks/trailers using cranes or other equipment.
• Maintain proper tagging, bundling, and loading of steel products.
• Verify weighbridge readings and reconcile dispatched quantity with documents.
• Prepare and verify dispatch documents (delivery notes, weighment slips, invoices, gate passes).
• Monitor vehicle reporting, loading status, documentation, and gate-out time.
• Coordinate with transporters and drivers regarding vehicle placement and schedules.
• Maintain dispatch records and update ERP/SAP systems where applicable.
• Monitor pending, completed, and delayed dispatches and escalate issues.
• Reconcile physical stock with system records and ensure traceability from production to dispatch.

• Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as delivery notes, material dispatch records, weighment slips, invoices, gate passes, and other required documents.
• Monitor vehicle reporting, loading status, documentation, and gate-out time.
• Coordinate with transporters and drivers regarding vehicle placement, loading, and dispatch schedules.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update ERP/SAP systems where applicable.
• Monitor pending, completed, and delayed dispatches and elevate issues to the concerned department.
• Reconcile physical finished-goods stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure proper traceability of finished steel products from production/warehouse to customer dispatch.
• Prepare daily, shift-wise, and monthly dispatch reports.
• Monitor loading delays, vehicle turnaround time, dispatch quantity, and pending orders.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards.
• Support stock audits, physical verification, and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure safe working practices in the dispatch area.
• Supervise and guide dispatch coordinators, operators, contract manpower, and support staff as required.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Technical qualification with relevant steel industry experience may also be considered.
