Job summary

Zayed University seeks a Contracts and Purchasing professional to provide efficient contracting and procurement support for its campuses. You will draft, review and manage commercial agreements, analyze bids, negotiate terms, and ensure cost-effective purchasing aligned with university policies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business and at least two years of relevant experience, with preference for government or higher education procurement familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Government or higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, & maintains commercial and contractual arrangements.
• Reviews RFI and RFP bid solicitations and prepares cost proposals with data for management review.
• Negotiates and administers contracts and cooperative agreements.
• Monitors financial activity of prime and sub-contracts and coordinates impact with program managers.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies and ethics codes of conduct.
• Reviews and provides input to Contracts Database and prepares periodical reports for management’s approval.
• Advises on risks, cost drivers and commercial positions to the department.
• Liaises with projects and technical staff to reflect the program of work in contracts.
• Conducts pre- and post-contract award reviews with internal stakeholders.
• Negotiates and places annual Blanket Purchase Orders and Master Purchasing Agreements.
