Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East seeks a Consultant Cardiothoracic Anesthetist to join a leading tertiary-care hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide specialized anesthesia and perioperative care for complex cardiac, cardiothoracic, thoracic and vascular procedures.

The role requires collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, perfusionists and multidisciplinary cardiac teams, with emphasis on advanced TEE and invasive monitoring.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency/specialty training in Anesthesiology.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthetic care for adult cardiothoracic patients.
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and optimize high-risk cardiac patients.
• Provide anesthesia for CABG, valve surgery, aortic surgery and major vascular procedures.
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) within credentialing.
• Coordinate with cardiac ICU for postoperative management and transfer of critically ill patients.
• Teach and supervise residents, fellows and junior staff; participate in CME/CPD.
