Job summary

Allocation Assist seeks an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Anesthetist to join a leading tertiary-care hospital in Dubai. You will provide specialized anesthetic and perioperative care for complex cardiac, cardiothoracic, thoracic and major vascular procedures, working closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists and perfusionists.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency/specialty training program in Anesthesiology.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology.
• Recognized fellowship/subspecialty qualification or substantial advanced training in Adult Cardiac / Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for or holding a DHA Consultant license.
• Current professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
• Current ACLS certification; DHA licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthetic care for adult cardiothoracic patients.
• Conduct detailed pre-anesthetic assessments and optimize high-risk cardiac patients before surgery.
• Provide anesthesia for CABG, valve surgery, aortic surgery, major thoracic surgery, and complex cardiothoracic procedures.
• Manage patients requiring advanced hemodynamic and invasive monitoring.
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) within credentialing.
• Coordinate with cardiac ICU for postoperative management and transfer of critically ill patients.
• Participate in Heart Team discussions and multidisciplinary case reviews.
