Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site activities for high-profile oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required safety and quality standards, coordinating across multiple disciplines and contractors.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 20 years in oil and gas with 5+ years on major capitals, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Degree with a minimum of 20 years Oil and Gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects (> USD 500 M) with Construction Management and Site Management focus.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel extensively for project needs and to adapt work location.
• Qualified to obtain CICPA and a UAE work visa.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction quality and integrity, delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee field activities and coordinate with contractors to meet design, cost, and schedule targets.
• Manage multi-discipline teams on site, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are upheld.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning and handover for projects exceeding USD 500 million in value.
• Apply in-house construction management procedures to maintain consistency and control.
