Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) required.
• 8–15 years in construction/project engineering.
• Experience in large-scale projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure).

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Develop project schedules and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers to align engineering deliverables with timelines.
• Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Ensure engineering works comply with designs and standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervisors.
• Manage design changes and value engineering proposals.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Conduct technical meetings and progress reviews.
• Ensure communication between design and construction teams.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with specs.
• Conduct inspections and audits of ongoing works.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards.
• Promote safety culture on-site.
• Assist in cost estimation and budget monitoring.
• Track material usage and reduce wastage.
• Support procurement and vendor evaluations.
• Maintain project documentation (drawings, reports, RFIs, submittals).
• Prepare progress reports and technical reports.
• Track and manage change orders and claims.
