Job summary

Wood is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer - Electrical, Instrument & Telecom in the UAE, based in Abu Dhabi. This role oversees on-site construction activities for major capital projects, ensuring schedule, budget, safety and quality standards are met for a high-profile client.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage contractor deliverables and drive seamless execution from design to handover within a multi-week travel requirement across projects.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel extensively for multi-week periods.
• Qualified to obtain CICPA and UAE work visa.

Responsibilities

• Assures the quality and integrity of each project, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget.
• Oversees total construction field effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design and budgets.
• Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned discipline on site.
• Coordinates field personnel work schedules to maximize utilization and ensure work is delivered on schedule.
• Initiates safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control.
• Supports installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and equipment.
