Wood is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Engineer - Electrical Instrument & Telecom to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities for large capital projects in the UAE, ensuring completion on time, within budget and to safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have 15+ years in Oil & Gas, including 5+ years on USD 500M+ projects, with excellent English and readiness to travel. CICPA qualification and UAE visa eligibility are highly regarded.

Key Objectives for this role are

• Assures the quality and integrity of each project
• bringing projects in on schedule and within budget
• Using in-house construction management procedures and experience provide continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable control
• Oversees total construction field effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design specifications budgets and schedules
• Generally responsible for projects or subset of project with value above USD 500 million

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Responsible for construction and contractor related deliverables
• Supervises all areas on small projects and or a subset discipline on larger projects
• Responsible for management and execution of multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction project's in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client and in accordance with the company’s operating policies and principles
• Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project
• Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines

Skills And Qualifications

Expected Degree with a minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas industry experience including at least 5 years on major capital projects gt 500 M USD with Construction Management and Site Management focus Experience within an Oil and Gas operating company is also highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience Must have excellent communications skills both written and verbal with a strong command of the English language Must be willing to travel extensively for multi-week periods and have the flexibility to adjust work location to support project needs Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa
