Job summary

Penspen Ltd. is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer - Electrical for site-based work in Abu Dhabi, with extensive oil & gas experience to lead onshore electrical construction activities.

Responsibilities include supervising electrical construction, reviewing specs and procedures, ensuring ADNOC/HSE compliance, and coordinating with engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to deliver milestones safely and on time.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant oil & gas experience.
• 5+ years in GCC region.
• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.

• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project requirements and HSE.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, commissioning and subcontractors.
• Monitor installation of equipment, cables, substations, transformers, switchgears, lighting.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Track progress and support milestone completion.
• Participate in testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Prepare progress reports and project documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects
• Strong knowledge of pipeline installation, welding, testing, and commissioning
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments
• In-depth understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards
• Proven leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
