Responsibilities

• Lead and manage offshore construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

• Ensure construction activities align with project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve construction challenges and ensure engineering standards are met.
• Review and approve construction drawings, procedures, and method statements.
• Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards during offshore operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigate high-risk activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives to align construction goals.

Job Description / Role:

Penspen is urgently looking for a Lead Construction Engineer for one of our prestigious PMC projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage offshore construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee the installation, hookup, and commissioning of offshore facilities such as platforms, pipelines, and subsea structures.
• Ensure all construction activities align with project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve construction-related challenges and ensure engineering standards are met.
• Review and approve construction drawings, procedures, and method statements.
• Enforce strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards during all offshore operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for high-risk activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives to align construction goals.
• Facilitate daily briefings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement hookup strategies and offshore construction plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to address delays or unforeseen issues.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 15+ years of overall experience including of 5 years extensive offshore oil and gas construction experience, especially in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment
• Strong experience in Offshore – Wellhead Towers, Subsea cable, brownfield, piping erection, mechanical equipment installation, and Jackets topside construction
• PMC experience will be preferred
• Previous experience in the ADNOC Offshore projects in the similar role would be an added advantage.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Piping or related field).
