Job summary
Penspen is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer - Electrical for an Abu Dhabi site, leading onshore electrical construction for oil & gas EPC projects. The role requires extensive GCC exposure and a proven track record in pipeline installation, welding, testing and commissioning.
The ideal candidate will supervise multi-discipline teams, review technical drawings and ensure ADNOC/HSE compliance to drive projects to successful on-site delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 15+ years of oil & gas experience.
- 5+ years in GCC region.
- 5+ years in a similar position.
- Extensive Oil & Gas pipeline construction project experience.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline installation, welding, testing and commissioning.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
- In-depth understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards.
- Proven leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical construction activities for oil & gas EPC projects.
- Review electrical drawings, specs, method statements and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project requirements and HSE regulations.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, commissioning and subcontractors.
- Monitor installation of electrical equipment, cables, substations, transformers, switchgears and lighting.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve construction-related technical issues.
- Track progress and support timely completion of milestones.
- Participate in testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Prepare progress reports and support project documentation requirements.
