Job summary

Wood is seeking a senior commissioning engineer with extensive experience in oil & gas EPC projects to lead commissioning activities for FEED/EPC scope. You will coordinate construction through handover, liaise with EPC contractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on onshore facilities.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in oil & gas, PM/PMC exposure, and strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a high-stakes environment in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a similar commissioning/lead role.
• PMC experience on EPC onshore brownfield projects is highly preferable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead commissioning activities for FEED/EPC scope as per project schedule.
• Coordinate FEED/EPC contractor activities from construction through commissioning and handover.
• Review construction/installation plans and procedures to ensure constructability and compliance with scope of work.
• Supervise EPC contractor and subcontractor activities at construction locations.
• Ensure safety, quality and schedule requirements are met during construction.
• Identify slippage and coordinate corrective actions with EPC contractor.
