Job summary

Client of Dashco Middle East in Dubai seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead post-contract commercial activities, manage cost reporting, and ensure profitability across projects.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree and GCC construction experience; you will prepare BOQs, evaluate variations, and coordinate with site and procurement teams to monitor budgets and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with GCC experience in UAE construction/contracting.
• Hands-on post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management knowledge.
• Strong understanding of drawings, BOQs, specifications and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Post-Contract & Quantity Surveying duties across projects.
• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop BOM and cost estimates.
• Analyze drawings/contract documents for project requirements.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost reports
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variation orders
• Prepare contractual claims, extensions of time and supporting docs
• Verify subcontractor measurements, valuations and payments
• Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with site and procurement teams on commercial matters
• Maintain records of project costs, variations and claims
• Prepare commercial reports and cost analyses
• Support management with profitability assessments and forecasting

We are hiring for a Quantity Surveyor for a contracting company in Dubai The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quantity surveying cost control project invoicing variations claims management and commercial project monitoring with good knowledge of the UAE GCC construction environment

Key Responsibilities

• Post-Contract amp Quantity Surveying
• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications
• Develop Bill of Materials BOM and cost estimates
• Analyze drawings and contract documents for project requirements
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost reports
• Prepare evaluate and negotiate variation orders
• Prepare contractual claims extensions of time EOT and supporting documentation
• Verify subcontractor measurements valuations and payment certificates
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Track project expenditures against approved budgets
• Coordinate with site team and procurement team regarding commercial matters
• Maintain accurate records of project costs variations and claims
• Prepare commercial reports and cost analyses
• Support management with project profitability assessments and forecasting

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering . 4 5 years of GCC experience , preferably within the UAE construction /contracting industry. Hands-on experience in post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management. Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contracts.
